“My nephews remind me how much wonder there is in the world — and Mr. Anthony & Friends grew from that joy.”

For Anthony Nunziata, "Mr. Anthony & Friends" is the beautiful meeting place of so many things he loves: music, storytelling, songwriting, performing, creating, producing, and bringing people together.  Long before the show had a name, Anthony was a kid who loved to sing.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Westchester County New York, he grew up drawn to the kind of songs that made the world feel bigger, kinder, and more magical. The classic songwriting of the Sherman Brothers, from Mary Poppins to the unforgettable music of Disney parks, and the theatrical songs of Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Stephen Schwartz.  Those songs did more than entertain him. They taught him that music could open a door, calm a heart, tell a story, and make a child feel at home.

Years later, one of those early heroes, Stephen Schwartz, became a friend — through tennis, of all things — and now appears as a special guest on "Mr. Anthony & Friends".  For Anthony, that full-circle moment says so much about the spirit of the show: curiosity, friendship, music, and the joy of sharing what you love with the next generation.  Anthony studied journalism, television production, music, directing, acting, and theatre at Boston College, where his understanding of purpose was deeply shaped by the school’s motto: "Men and Women for Others".  That idea — taking what you love and turning it into action for good — stayed with him.  It became part of his vocation as a singer, songwriter, recording artist, entrepreneur, and creator.

After years of performing for audiences around the world, from concert halls to recording studios, Anthony felt called to create something especially meaningful for children and families: a gentle musical home where kids can feel safe, seen, celebrated, and encouraged to be exactly who they are.

"Mr. Anthony & Friends" was born from that calling. Together with co-creator and longtime friend Elizabeth Stuart, Anthony assembled a team of artists, educators, musicians, designers, animators, and children’s media experts — each bringing their own gifts to help shape a show with purpose and care.

And the personal inspiration for "Mr. Anthony & Friends" came from very close to home: Anthony’s nephews Patrick and Jack. Watching the way they learn, laugh, ask questions, sing along, and see the world with wonder reminded him of just how powerful imagination and music can be in a child’s life.

The show brings together Anthony’s love of writing original music, heartfelt conversations, imagination, humor, and real connection. It is a place for children — and the grown-ups who love them — laugh, learn and grow. A place where feelings matter.  A place where kindness is a super-power. A place where children are reminded, again and again, that they belong.

At its heart, "Mr. Anthony & Friends" is Anthony’s way of turning music into a home.  And that is why every episode ends with the same simple send-off:

 "Dreams, they do come true

 And when they do

You'll find that everything is   possible and bright, and new

I found a home with you."

Lyrics to "I Found a Home" - music & lyrics by

Anthony Nunziata, Jeff Franzel & Tom Kimmel

For Anthony, those words are more than lyrics. They are the heart of Mr. Anthony & Friends: a reminder to every child that they are safe, they are loved, and they have a place where they belong.
